Shallow fry Sweet Corn Chops

Shallow fry Sweet Corn Chops are an amazing and yummy snack without potato and bread.  These Chops  are crunchy and crispy outside with corn flakes  and soft from inside.  It is very healthy and is nutritious as it is prepared with out potato and bread and it is non fried snack , and it is very good for kids and aged people who not eat sweet corn directly. This recipe is very simple ,easy, and instant which can be prepared even by youngsters and bachelors very easily.

This Shallow fry Sweet Corn Chops  is very easy to prepare with  easily available  ingredients  in the house. It is a are very healthy as it is not deep fried snack. So you  should definitely try this tasty crispy Sweet Corn Chops and give me a feed back.

Makes  – 16 chops

Shallow fry Sweet Corn Chops in a pan and few served in a plate garnished with coriander and served with ketchup and green chutney.
Shallow fry Sweet Corn Chops

Ingredients :-

  • 2 cups sweet corn kernels (approx 250 gms )
  • 1 capsicum fine chopped
  • 1 cup onion fine chopped
  • 1/2 cup coriander leaves finely  chopped
  • 4 Green chilly  finely chopped
  • 1 cup rice flour
  • 1 tbsp ginger fine chopped
  • 3/4  tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp ghee
  • Oil for shallow fry
  • Corn flakes for coating
  • Maida  for the slurry
  • Water

Method :-

Separate the sweet corn  from the corn cob  and then wash nicely.

Then  coarse  crush the sweet corn in mixer using pulse mode and transfer to a bowl.

Sauté the onion and capsicum on high flame slightly till crunchy  and allow to cool down.

Combine the corn paste, crunchy vegetables  , coriander leaves , salt , green chilly and ginger and give a nice mix.

Then add the rice flour little by little and mix nicely to form like semi hard dough.

Divide the dough into equal sized balls .

Muddle the corn flakes using a rolling pin to coarse powder.

Give the shape to corn balls like a tikki.

Mix refined flour and water and prepare thin slurry .

Dip the chops in the slurry and coat with corn flakes powder nicely.

Then heat the non stick pan with 2tbsp of oil ion low flame.

Shallow fry the chops in the pan till crispy and golden brown.

Serve tasty and yummy Shallow Fry Sweet Corn Chops with ketchup and green chutney.

Tips :-

  • You  may use frozen sweet  corn instead of fresh sweet corn.
  • Shallow fry the chops on medium to low flame to get crispy chops ..
  • Can add little more rice flour if necessary if the dough is soft.
  • The quantity of rice flour may slightly vary dep0ending on the moisture present in the sweet corn.
  • One cup equals 250 ml.
  • I have used  kellogs  corn flakes  for coating the chops.
